Mark’s Story
Career
Mark Englizian is a former public-company executive, independent adviser, leadership mentor, author, and strategic influencer.
During his business career, Mr. Englizian held management and executive roles with industry-leading companies including the Walgreen Company, Amazon, Microsoft, and Tektronix.
Mr. Englizian earned a degree in communications and graduate degrees in theology and psychology.
He has been a guest lecturer/presenter for the USC Marshall School, Cornell University Graduate School, National Foreign Trade Council, Institute for Corporate Productivity, WorldatWork, National Business Group on Health, HR Policy Association, Talent Management Alliance, and many others.
He has been a reviewer for the Harvard Business School Press and has appeared on CNBC’s Nightly Business Report.

Advising and Coaching
Mark has been a business advisor and personal coach for almost a decade. His clients have included publicly traded companies in the technology, fitness, and sustainable energy industries; privately held family businesses that each exceeded $3B in annual revenues; and start-ups and pre-IPO firms in healthcare, retailing, wealth management, and manufacturing.
Over the years, Mark has invested in direct reports, team members, and coaching clients. As of this writing, his “coaching tree” includes over 50 professionals who have risen to executive roles in business and people leadership across a variety of industries.
In recent years, his partnership with the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) has given Mark a platform to publish essays, speak to HR professionals, and mentor future leaders. Mark was the innovator and creator of the “Up Next Cohort”, offered to people leaders who aspire to CHRO and CPO roles. Up Next is a readiness incubator, unique in design, and a collaboration with leadership experts and seasoned executives who have experience in the role.*

Life
Mark was born in the Midwest, and lived most of his life in Oregon, Washington, Illinois, and Arizona.
He has traveled to 48 US states and multiple foreign countries in Europe, Asia, and South America.
He is married to Carol, and they reside in Rio Verde, Arizona (winter) and Sisters, Oregon (summer). They have an extended family that includes four adult children and seven grandchildren; plus siblings, in-laws, nieces, and nephews - all of whom reside in the Pacific Northwest.
Mark and Carol enjoy travel, golf, tennis, biking, hiking, spectator sports, and animal care for “Domino” (a 21-year-old American Paint Quarterhorse) and “Linus” (a 3-year-old labrador retriever).
They are active in church and community life as contributors, volunteers, leaders and mentors.
